Connor David—Head Performance Coach

Founder/Director of Grind Athlete Performance, Connor was born and raised in CT. His passion for fitness evolved from years of training for baseball. He graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2015 where he was a four year member of the baseball team. He continued his playing career for the Bridgeport Bluefish and Southern Maryland Blue Crabs in the Atlantic League. He turned his love for fitness and athletics into Grind Athlete Performance in 2017. He has his CSCS (Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist), Pn1 (Precision Nutrition), and FMS (Functional Movement Screen) certifications.

Josh Doering—Performance Coach

Current Graduate Assistant Strength Coach at University of New Haven. Josh is working towards is Master’s Degree at UNH.

Prior to UNH, Josh completed his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science at Florida Gulf Coast. He was part of the Yale University Strength and Conditioning Staff in 2024.

Brandon Torres—Performance Coach

Current Assistant Director of Sports Performance at the University of New Haven. Prior to full-time role, he was the Graduate Assistant for Strength and Conditioning at New Haven from 2019-2021.

Before New Haven, Brandon interned with Mississippi State University football, Monmouth University field hockey, Men's Basketball and Football, and Freak Strength with athletes ranging from high school - professional. He received bachelors degree in Exercise Science at William Paterson University in my home state of New Jersey. Brandon has his MS in Exercise Science, as well as his CSCS.

Dylan D’Addio—Performance Therapist/Coach

A Cheshire native, Dylan joins Grind Athlete Performance as both a Performance Coach and Therapist. Dylan grew up all playing sports. He excelled at basketball, leading him to be a start at Cheshire High School. Dylan received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy, as well as his Bachelors in Allied Health Sciences, at UConn. Dylan has his CSCS certification through the NSCA. He is currently a full-time Physical Therapist with Connecticut Orthopedic Specialists in Shelton, CT.

Brian Reis—Performance Therapist/Coach

A Beacon Falls native, Brian is an orthopedic physical therapist with Gaylord Specialty Healthcare in Cromwell, CT. Treating patients of various ages with multiple pathologies and diagnoses, Brian specializes in strength and conditioning as well as rehabilitating an athletic population. With a focus on active approaches utilizing exercise prescription and strength and conditioning concepts, he also provides manual therapy techniques such as IASTM, dry-needling, and joint mobilizations/manipulations. Brian received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy, as well as his Bachelors in Exercise Science, at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. Brian also has coaching experience at the high school level and is currently working with the Derby Red Raiders football program.
